Do You Still Doubt The South Africa?

Larger than the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, Germany, the Stade De France in France and the Yokohama International Stadium in Japan, Soccer City is one of the largest stadiums to host a 2010 FIFA World Cup™. The blueprint of the Soccer City 2010 stadium was chosen from a sequence of concept designs ranging from acknowledgement of Jo’burg’s disappearing mine dumps.

Almost  90 per cent all set, with effort on the division already well under way, and the pitch laid, the sheer size and scale of the stadium awed experts from FIFA and the 2010 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee South Africa (OC) as the recent FIFA stadium examination tour culminated at the gates of Soccer City.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter insisted the nation was all set, and thought he was disturbed by people who say otherwise who anxious South Africa won’t pull off the June 11 to July 11 tournament.

“It’s not so much that there’s pessimism, but that it’s always being thrown into doubt. It’s bad, because when there’s doubt, there’s no confidence. For me and FIFA, that bothers us sometimes,” Blatter said to  a news conference in Durban’s new stadium.

“There is no doubt, no doubt,” he said. “Let’s go now, let’s have this World Cup, and then we will discuss end of July.”

He spoke after a tour of South Africa’s 10 stadiums that will hold the world cup  tournament at Juny-July. Stadium manufacture  is all set for all stadiums, and only two that have yet to host games to try out the new services.

“It is altering the skyline of Johannesburg for the better. We believe this exacting capability will be one of the icons of the city like the Nelson Mandela Bridge, and the Apartheid and Hector Peterson museums and be a tourist attraction for years to come,” said Sibongile Mazibuko, Executive Director 2010 from the City of Johannesburg.

“The opening and closing ceremony will be held here and we trust that the eyes of the world will see South Africa though this facility and will truly represent what South Africa is all about – in a calabash around a fire.”

“As South Africans we have encountered a lot of skepticism but today, as we celebrate this milestone, we can confidently say to the World that we will be ready,” said Danny Jordaan, chief of the local organising committee.

The 100-day countdown conquered South African media Tuesday, but only a a small number of hundred revellers joined the celebrations that were mostly held in downtown districts, distant from the townships where the majority football fans live.
